Calcium sulphate

"SCa"

Calcium sulfate is a soil amendment or improver, recommended mainly for alkaline soils. This mineral provides sulfur in the form of sulfate, thus being assimilable by plants. Also called AGRICULTURE GYPSUM, it is used to level the sodium/ alcium ratio in soils with salinity or sodicity problems, allowing the sodium to drain. It also provides calcium without modifying the pH.

Agriculture gypsum absorbs moisture almost instantaneously, expanding its volume, thereby improving soil structure. However, it is recommended to add this mineral only in soils with a high content of organic matter or accompanied by a nitrogen source.
